It's quite good. Not sure if she's flew completely under the radar or what? I know she's kind of a "serious" artist in the jazz and classical world, but she's channeled Les Baxter perfectly here.

Sounds good! Definitely exotica. But the use of woodwinds makes it sound more like Robert Drasnin to me than Les Baxter.

I meant that it's Baxter-esque in that it takes Stravinsky's classicist paganism/primitive rhythm and does it in a pop style. Baxter, Drasnin, Lyman, Waldo, take your pick. This album fits the mold.
