Ebay scam

Unless Brian Setzer decided to sell his
1950 Fender Broadcaster, I think someone's try to screw a guitar collector out of a whole lot of money.

Here's a link to Setzer's website showcasing one of his many super collectable guitars.

and here's the auction. Note the (0) previous sales, the total lack of feedback, the starting bid price ($8,990.00), the description is verbatim from Brian's website, and the topper; a free shipping incentive. Not to mention a real vague location of the seller and I think they are only accepting cash.

Crazy, huh.

Check out the guy's other auction listing:

Someone caught on that the guy was stealing their website images to sell this guitar, so they changed the images he was linking to! Too funny!

That is hilarious! Everybody has to click on that link that Pup posted. There are turtles growling at the guitars.

Beyond stealing images, I think this guy is just trying to rip people off. Who in their right mind would buy a ten thousand dollar guitar without even seeing a picture of it?

Now the link is invalid! Amazing how low some people are. The sad part is someone probably would of bid. I have heard so many stories of people getting ripped off on ebay, it's truly disgusting.

I would say buyer beware, except I got ripped for 100 bucks on software. The trick I guess is to pay only by credit card for big ticket items, hopefully you could get your money back.

Anybody that pays more than a couple of hundred bucks without some protection is crazy. Best bet is ask for an escrow service if the amounts are large.

I have sold several 500 dollar plus items and am amazed at how trusting some people are.
