Rattan chair repair

Can anyone tell me what the wrapping around the joints is called and where I might get some in the San Diego area?

Got it cleaned and ready to start, but nothing yet. I have an old rattan bar that need some new binding also, so going to do them both at the same time, bar is about ready for it so will be getting it in a week or so.
