Description:
The Crow's Nest was built inside of a WW 2 quonset hut with bamboo and thatch. Next to it was the Oxnard Airport where a military training squadron was and Howard Hughes kept some aircraft there.

Here is the color postcard from the Crow's Nest I just got in a trade with Bongo Fury, king of Tiki in the 805.

The back of the card has a note that it is from a luncheon in 1942.

I wonder if this bar lasted very long. The brick building at this address now doesn't look very new.

I came across this image from the Crow's Nest that was used for a retro pill box. It looks to be taken from a old matchbook and I am guessing this is from the Oxnard location.

Anybody heard of the Rose Hut in Oxnard?
