What says Christmas more than…mermaids & Santa underwater?! "The formers (former mermaids) are swimming (in) the Christmas Show. We will be doing 2 numbers and the young mermaids will be doing two numbers in tails. They needed us because some of the young mermaids are swimming at the Georgia Aquarium in Atlanta in December. The young mermaids will show first then we (former mermaids) will swim Feliz Navidad and the end with Santa underwater. Christmas Mermaids will be posing w/ Santa somewhere in the park! The Travel Channel will be filming us on Friday Night." If you are planning on visiting this weekend, keep in mind that the park closes early both days, 4pm, and reopens at 6pm for the Winter Waterland experience. All guests visiting the park during the day will have to exit by 4. When the park reopens at 6 admission will be I'll update this thread to share news featuring Weeki Wachee's world famous mermaids. |

Christmas at the springs was enchanting! The entire grounds were aglow with festive lights while the local community provided entertainment, a petting zoo, nativity & the works. The Mermaids of Yesteryear performed a sparkling show in their sequined mini dresses, and the lovely current mermaids delighted the audience with their special rendition of "Santa Baby." |
