Greetings everybody from the ChesaTiki Bay! This is my first attempt at carving tiki, first attempt at carving anything as a matter of fact... The talent I've seen here blows me away, and inspires me at the same time. This carving is from some driftwood cedar that washes up, not too many palms around here, the Tiki Bar in Solomons and Vera's/White Sands might get a little perturbed if I showed up with my chainsaw... Still needs to be sanded, stained or poly'd Feedback always appreciated! ChesaTiki-G |

Nice 1st. All cedar is beautiful wood IMO. Our local species is a real pain to carve but beautiful none the less. Welcome to TC. |

Thanks for the feedback! I'm located on the Western Shore of MD, south of Annapolis and north of Pax River Naval Air Station. There is a lot of driftwood from erosion, unfortunately a whole lot of sweetgum trees that no one wants even for firewood... |
