I am looking for a good wood source for tiki pole carving in the Northwest. Any ideas? I would like to try my hand at pole carving. |

Below this thread you'll find another thread named Keigs, click it and find out about a carver up yonder who could probably help you find material....or just call a tree cutting business. |

I dont know how you could get any palm around here. But you should be able to find some cedar or fir poles at a lumber mill or pole yard if there are any around you. Just call around and ask what they do with their end pieces or extra wood. [ Edited by: keigs20 on 2004-01-06 22:40 ] |
