Tiki Central / Tiki Carving

Palmwood source

Pages: 1 3 replies

I am looking for a good wood source for tiki pole carving in the Northwest. Any ideas? I would like to try my hand at pole carving.

Below this thread you'll find another thread named Keigs, click it and find out about a carver up yonder who could probably help you find material....or just call a tree cutting business.

That would be a good biz. to get into. Become a mafia on all the palm tree trimmers in the states. No palms go out without payolla! Hmmmmmm. Being how tiki is so hot! Guido? Are you listening???

I dont know how you could get any palm around here. But you should be able to find some cedar or fir poles at a lumber mill or pole yard if there are any around you. Just call around and ask what they do with their end pieces or extra wood.
