Bali Hai misprint?

I picked up a Bali Hai concave bottom mug at a flea market today and noticed that it has a misprint, where Calif is spelled Catif. Has anyone seen these? I only found one other mention of it on Worthpoint, but not much info.

I have both styles in my collection with the misprint.

Well, that's odd. Why would the newer style be misprinted as well? Maybe some overlap between the old and new design period.

I have 9 vintage Bali Hai mugs all with concave bottoms and they all look that way.

I think the line that turns the L into a T was supposed to go all the way through the F but it never did
