As I like to quote Paul Theroux: "Pieces of hacked wood" These carvings are akin to the ever-so-lovely "Tiki" or "Asmat" figures over-populating the internet, import stores and tourist traps: I had to evaluate a life-size example of these beauties on Storage Wars and really had to be "polite" in giving the Witco cat the thumbs up over it. There is GOOD ugly and there is BAD ugly - my books tell you which is which :D |
