HELP!! Anybody know much about this McMahon painting???

Hello everybody, just found this forum and I am so happy it is here! I received this painting from my grandparents, I believe they bought it in Hawaii in the 60's. Can anybody tell me what it is worth? Or where I could possible appraise it or sell it? The picture makes the black velvet seem grey but it is really dark black around the mans head. It also has a light that attaches to the top of the frame. Thank you for any help you can give me !!

That's a nice copy of Leeteg's famous "Tahitian Chief" painting. I'd expect it to go for about $100 but could go for a little more. There are a lot of copies of this painting out there of varying quality. This one is well done.

I'd put it on eBay if I wanted to sell it.
