Description:
A late 70s early 80s Waikiki strip bar, found an a High Society mag article from 1980 dealing with "Hawaii's X-rated Underground". From what I gathered from the dancer interviewed was it was mostly a place to see naked women and get hustled for over priced drinks like $1000 bottles of champagne. No mention of tropical drink markups though.

I remember that place, from back in '77-'78. Never went inside, just remember walking by it a number of times. My local girlfriend (later wife/ex-wife), and presumably most locals, knew it was a clip joint that took advantage of drunk tourists, especially Japanese. I guess I didn't remember exactly where it was... I would have guessed Kuhio, a street over from Kalakaua.

How did I miss that one? Just saying...
