Visitors to VanTiki Island often hear the stories of a mysterious secluded bay and the curious octopodes that live there. Legend has it that local fishermen have trained the octopi to retrieve long-lost relics from the deep in exchange for fresh shellfish. Now, as magical as the idea of an octopus climbing out of the waves with an ancient tiki mug perched on its head may be, visitors must keep in mind that these are only stories - no photographic proof exists. Oh... wait, this just in:
The Trained Octopus #1 tiki mug is a whopping 9 inches tall and holds a bit more fluid than you’d think (the “head” of the octopus actually holds fluid as well). It is entirely hand crafted by Henrik Van Ryzin out of glazed high-fire ceramics with food-safe glazes. No molds were used in the construction of this mug. Mahalo for looking and happy bidding! |

That is seriously cool. Way more than I'm willing to pay for tiki mugs (I don't collect them), but that is seriously cool!! |
