Indonesian Degung - Tiki Music

It doesn't have the kitsch factor of exotica, but is intriguing in its own right. In our little city we have a gamelan orchestra that plays from time to time. I've only heard them once. They weren't playing the Degung style with bamboo flute, though. I wish they would. Very inculcative, hypnotic stuff. Took a little while for my western ears to make room, but it's growing on me. Not to insult our great mixologists, but it would be boggling on the patio at midnight while stoned. Haven't tried it.
