I haven't been posting on TC much since the Arizona Aloha Fest. Apparently I got the attention of some Polynesian folks! I was asked if I could throw down and jump in the 4th Annual Island Reggae Festival. It's an all day jam on July 4th at the Santa Clara County Fairgrounds from 10AM to 11PM. There will be a rugby tournament, all day nonstop concert, vending booths, fairground attractions and fireworks after dark. Come on out if your close. This is gone be a good one!

The 2016 Arizona Aloha Festival

It's that time of year again in sunny Arizona. This is a FREE EVENT that attracts about 4000 peeps each day. It's held at the Tempe Beach Park (Tempe Town Lake) in Tempe, Arizona. This event has been going on many for years. Polynesian entertainers come from all over the country to perform. There are three continuous live stages. Hawaiian Airlines hosts the main concert size stage. Hawaiian Airlines also donates 2 round trip tickets to the islands every year. Ashton Properties, a popular hotel chain in the islands also donates a 5 day stay at one of their properties in Maui. The two donations are combined and raffled off for $5 per ticket, no limit. You can't beat a chance vacation in Hawaii for a $5 risked investment. There will also be well over 100 island themed vendor booths and about 20 great island food booths. Think of this as a HUGE LUAU!!! The weather should be fantastic and is a great reason to get outta the house and get your island on. If you're within driving distance, neighboring state or can make the trek from where ever you are, this will be well worth the trip.

Gearing up for the 2017 Arizona Aloha Festival. It's the weekend of March 11-12 at the Tempe Beach Park from 10a to 5p both days. There will be over 175 island themed vending and food booths. Many vendors come from outta state for this event. There will also be 3 live entertainment stages. The main concert size stage is sponsored by Hawaiian Airlines. Hawaiian Airlines donates two round trip tickets to Oahu every year. Aston Properties a well known hotel chain in the islands also kicks in a week stay at one of their properties. Both are combined and raffled off for $5 per ticket. Polynesian dance groups come from all over the country for this event as well. The entertainment, vending booths, food, outrigger rides on Tempe Town Lake, weather are all great not to mention the whole event is free to get in. Think of it as a HUGE 2 DAY LUAU. Last year about 6,000 came out for this event on Saturday. Sunday got about 4,000 peeps! If you can't make it to the islands make it to this event. Set the date, come on out and get your island on!
