Martin Denny, Ribbit in Peace

Pages: 1 3 replies

Today is Martin Denny's birthday.
He would have been 105 years old.

We raise our Mai Tais high toward exotica eden and honor the man
who created a sensual sonic paradise for all of us to dwell in.

We miss him so. Generous mentor, loving friend, beautiful human being...a hui ho!

Me ke aloha pumehana,
Don Tiki Ohana

"Denny did the frog part on a grooved cylinder and the whole thing became incorporated into the
arrangement of "Quiet Village". It sold more than one million copies, and was awarded a gold disc."

I would "Like" this post, but I forgot I am not on facebook right now!

Luckily the spirit of Denny lives on with Don Tiki!

Hey Lucas, mahalo for your kind comment and for posting the link to "An Occasional Man."
We'll be putting up new vids from our recent shows at Blue Note Hawaii in Waikiki soon!
Cheers~ FF

Hey, FF, it's me CR aka Matt Locey (Producer of the former NiteTime with Andy Bumatai show, among other endeavors). Been meaning to reconnect on this forum. Hope all is well with you and the band. Great post, Denny is sorely missed.
