For anyone that has been through Connecticut, one of the few remaining items of tiki interest was the moai outside the Timexpo Museum in Waterbury. An article in one of today's local papers alerted me to the fact that the museum has since closed and the fate of the moai is in question. What gets me is the things people had to say about it. Here's the article: And here's the link to the "Save the Moau" website, which doesn't contain much: http://www.savethemoai.com/index.html I wasn't sure if I should put this in Locating Tiki, Collecting Tiki, or Tiki Marketplace, so it can be moved as deemed appropriate. :) [ Edited by: tikigreg 2016-04-20 14:18 ] |

$70K to move it sounds like a lot. Independent contractors at the Home Depot parking lot will do it for a lot less, lol. |
