Making fake palm trees

Aloha
I was wanting to build some fake palm trees for my tiki backyard. I saw some threads for indoor trees, which are awesome, but I something that will stand up outside year-round. I also would like to wire them up for lighting around my patio using coconuts as the lights.

Naw, mine won't hold up to the elements outside. I bet the pariarts fellows will have some ideas, though.

I'm not sure if this helps, but these guys, 4 Sons Custom Palm Trees make all the fake palms in Wildwood, NJ. (the land of fake palms)

They are very pricey!!
