How should I mount a circular bamboo/rattan shelf?

Pages: 1 4 replies

Hi folks,

I'm installing a circular bamboo shelf in my tiki room, and Google has been no help so far. It looks similar to the shelf below. My only solution so far is to hang it on some long screws, but I'd prefer something more stable so I can display mugs on it with some degree of confidence that some drunken yobbo(like me) won't knock it over. Any tips?

A few pertinent facts about the shelf:
-it has resting plexiglass shelves, so I can't support it under those
-unlike the photo, both the front and rear circles are doubled up, so pipe straps are out of the question. :/

Thanks folks!

Why not try these? Paint them faux bamboo or glue some rope over it.

Good luck!

Mine is old and it has these on it.
Only two hold mind up.

Thanks for the help, guys!

Unfortunately, the double bamboo circles on the back prevent pipe straps/brackets from working. That was my first though as well, Jeff-Ro.

Tikiskip - looks like that'll be my solution. Cheers!

Plumber's strap is similar but you cut to the length you want to accommodate the double ring. You would still need to paint it to hide it but it would be secure.
