The Tiki House is finally Done!

Well, a Tiki House will never really be done. But, we had our first guests check in this week. I must be crazy because I rented it to 9 college spring breakers. I hope it is still standing after a week. But we wanted to create a fun party house so we figured this would be one way to test it out. They were blown away when I gave them a tour of the house. Here are a few of the pictures. I tried to keep a lot of the "old Florida feel" of this old block house. It sat empty for a long time. We were lucky to find the old Terrazzo floors under the deep shag carpet and we kept the retro bathrooms. I tried to use mid century furniture for the "Tiki Modern" look. I got the inspiration from you folks on this forum, so thanks for all the ideas and the pictures you've posted here.

Looks good! I hope it's still there! :D

Nice! Like what you did with those wide panels.

A WHOLE tiki house, now that's a commitment to tiki. Good job.

Lots of good stuff, and I got to have those shower curtains!

Looks great! I'll have to check it out next time I am in the area.

Very cool! I, too, hope that it survives the students so that grown-ups may someday appreciate your efforts!

Looks good
Great way to “introduce” the younger generation into our world
Let’s hope they can appreciate it

Cheers
