Yellow Chartreuse recipes

Pages: 1 6 replies

Hello friends. I am looking for recipes that use yellow chartreuse.

Hi HK, welcome to Tiki Central. I've got some recipes for Green Chartreuse but nothing for Yellow

BB

Welcome, HK! You are in luck - I just bought a 1980's "A to Z of Cocktails" book that includes the following recipe for a Yellow Parrot:

1oz Yellow Chartreuse
3/4oz gin
3/4oz Benedictine

Shake & strain, garnish with cherry.

I've never tasted the yellow so I don't know how it compares to the green. Have you ever tried it in a Chartreuse Swizzle? That might be interesting.

Two other classic cocktails to consider are the Alaska and the Widow's Kiss.

It's completely different. Lower proof, no where near as in intense, and although it has the same herbs and spices they are in different ratios and it also has added honey which is the dominant flavour that i pick up.

My friend Chris invented this drink several years ago. I personally don't mind doing shots of tequila but i'm not a fan of tequila cocktails at all and this ingredient list looks so wrong on paper but it's surprisingly very tasty.

Thamks, Swiz. The Death Flip looks very interesting.

Check out the Daisy De Santiago in Smugglers Cove.

I also really dig Naked & Famous.

Equal parts: Lime Mezcal Aperol Yellow Chartreuse

Shake with ice and strain into a chilled coupe.
