Original Don the Beachcomber Tiki?

I was browsing e-bay and found this listing.

https://www.ebay.com/itm/155495452697?mkcid=16&mkevt=1&mkrid=711-127632-2357-0&ssspo=VF5c6ByTRWi&sssrc=2047675&ssuid=t0sy34vgQmu&widget_ver=artemis&media=COPY

It claims that it's from Don the Beachcomber in LA circa 1930's - 40's. The seller says that's what the salvage yard told them anyway.

I don't have that kind of budget, but if it's true, that's one helluva find. But for something that expensive, I feel like provenance should be shown. I wonder if there are any vintage photos running around there that might show the item.

Search it up. Doesn’t seem to be much happening with vintage tiki nowadays. Seems like a lot of the old timers bailed out to Facebook book.

According to Sven Kirsten, it is not a Don the Beachcomber piece.

I would consider that to be authoritative :)

Since posting this I've read that Don didn't have a lot of actual tikis running around other than those cannibal figures he had everywhere
