Aloha TC ohana, If you’re in CA, AZ or Las Vegas, NV in Jan/Feb 2025, the quintet formation of Mr. Ho’s Orchestrotica will be on tour again! The group was recently awarded a Jazz Road touring Grant from South Arts and it’s helping to fund some unusual shows for us including a private residence tiki bar/home deck party in CA and a very intimate show at the Golden Tiki in Vegas. A couple stops in AZ and another in Los Angeles round out the 5 dates. At the Golden Tiki, we were graciously given permission to allow 4 tables to be pre-reserved by fans; those go on sale very soon. And our concert in La Mesa California has space for just 60 people — we expect that to sell out quickly too. Details: https://orchestrotica.com/shows.cfm Tickets on sale in early November for fans on our mailing list at https://orchestrotica.com/join — early access tickets are available only for our Patreon followers at https://patreon.com/orchestrotica — space is very limited for the 2 tiki themed events and expected to sell out very quickly.
Hope to see some TC ohana there! Mr. Ho and the quintet |

We're a bit of tiki desert up here in the high mountain town of Flagstaff so when I saw this announcement I flipped. I'm so excited to see this just down the road from my house! |

That’s fantastic. I went to NAU way back so it’ll be fun to have the group back in Flagstaff again (we also were there in like 2013?)! If you know folks in Phoenix as well, let them know we are in Chandler on 2/2! |

I love Mr. Ho. It is a fresh take on an obscure genre of music more familiar to my parents (and I'm 70) than my generation. The music sounds looser than the Tiki music of the 50s which had an over practiced studio sound. As a string bass player, I love the real virtuoso bass playing that is far ahead of typical 7th chord riffs that repeat throughout a piece. Wish you were coming to Kona! |

We would love to play in a cave in Kona sometime! Sign us up! :-) Thx for the kind words and glad you liked the bass playing as well. I like to compose some meaty parts for the bass role in our group and luckily we have cats that can play them in Boston! |
