I lucked out on this Ku at my local Goodwill. I was wondering if anyone could help me identify or locate a makers mark? I'm brand new to tiki. Not looking to sell him, I'm would just like to know more information. Thank you for looking. Such a random price. They really needed that 9 cents! |

That's a big one! I don't normally see the "peg" style Tongan Tikis above 8" tall. Side note, I have noticed since at least December of 2025 the local Goodwills (at least in the Denver area) have started to price up Tiki items, including mugs and such statues of all sizes. Maybe a memo went out to the backroom pricers that these tend to sell quickly at lower prices, or somesuch, but even standard modern/Barconic mugs that used to always be $1.99 are now often spotted at $4.99 to $9.99. or more. heck, even the lowly coconut monkeys have gone up (but still don't seem to sell, and of course are not even "Tiki"). Oddly, vintage or non-obvious older Tiki items are still often underpriced, probably because they go unrecognized. [ Edited by Tiki_Thor on 2026-03-05 09:34:42 ] |
