Hi Everyone, I'm just introducing my backyard Tiki Bar. Pictures to come. “Somewhere east of the setting sun and west of the last honest map, I found myself drifting toward a place the locals whispered about — a hideaway known only as The Quiet Roost. They spoke of it the way sailors speak of a lucky wind: softly, reverently, as if saying too much might scare it back into legend.” “I followed the scent of charred bamboo and night‑blooming flowers until the jungle parted like a curtain. There it was — a sanctuary perched between shadow and torchlight, where even the island birds seemed to lower their voices out of respect. A man could sit there, rum in hand, and feel the world loosen its grip.” “They say the Roost was inspired by a humble flock — island fowl who knew the wisdom of stillness. When the trade winds quieted and the torches flickered low, they’d settle into their perches with a calm that could tame even the wildest wanderer. The keeper of this refuge took that spirit and built a haven for the weary, the curious, and the rum‑soaked.” “I didn’t stay long — places like that aren’t meant to be possessed, only visited. But I left knowing this: when the world grows loud and the mainland claws at your heels, there’s a roost waiting somewhere in the hush of the palms. You won’t find it on a chart. You’ll find it when you need it.” [ Edited by JungleJeff on 2026-06-20 11:28:06 ] |

“In the hush of the island night, when the trade winds settle and the jungle birds tuck themselves into hidden perches, The Quiet Roost takes its name from my own flock — humble keepers of the dusk. Their calm, unhurried spirit inspired this refuge: a secluded hideaway where the rum runs deep, the shadows dance with firelight, and wanderers find a peaceful roost far from the noise of the mainland.”

From the Journal of a Wandering Beachcomber “The day I found The Quiet Roost, the sun was a lazy coin sinking behind the palms, and the air smelled of sawdust and salt. Two sturdy posts rose from the earth like sentinels, joined by a humble brace of timber — not yet a wall, not yet a shrine, but something waiting to become legend.” “The builder — a man with the patience of the tide — spoke of chickens and calm, of a roost where the noise of the mainland fades into the hush of the island night. I saw it then: not just wood and nails, but the promise of sanctuary. The kind of place where the rum runs deep, the laughter low, and the torches whisper stories older than the sea.” “Every plank laid here hums with intention. The earth beneath it remembers the rhythm of waves, and the air above it carries the scent of adventure. When the last board is set and the first lantern lit, The Quiet Roost will not simply stand — it will breathe.” “And when the world grows loud again, I’ll return to this corner of paradise, where the builder’s vision took root in the soil and the spirits found their perch.”

@BobH “Ah, traveler… The Quiet Roost isn’t pinned to any charted shore. It sits where the trade winds slow, where the bamboo leans in close, and where a man can hear his own heartbeat over the soft rustle of roosting birds. Some say it’s tucked behind the palms of a forgotten backyard oasis in Southern California. Others swear it appears only to those who wander with a thirsty spirit and an unhurried soul.” As for pictures… “In due time, when the torches are lit and the spirits have settled into their bottles, the Roost will reveal itself. A place like this doesn’t rush to be seen — it lets the world come to it.” |

Long ago, on a hidden isle where the palms sway to the rhythm of the surf, a tiki spirit named Ku’moa guarded the dawn. Each morning, two roosters perched beside his carved totem, crowing to awaken the island’s joy. But one day, the islanders grew weary of endless noise and begged Ku’moa for peace. Moved by their plea, the tiki silenced the roosters — not with anger, but with calm. He taught them to crow only when laughter filled the air. From that day forward, the roosters became symbols of balance: sound and silence, revelry and rest. The tiki’s resting place became known as The Quiet Roost, where music hums softly through bamboo and every drink honors the harmony between spirit and stillness. The year 2026 marks the rebirth of Ku’moa’s legend — a promise that every toast carries the island’s tranquil heartbeat. Created a drink coaster for The Quite Roost.

🌙 Lore of The Quiet Roost — Late Night Chill When the sun sinks behind the palms and the bamboo lanterns flicker awake, The Quiet Roost becomes a hidden refuge for wanderers of the night. Locals say the roosters sleep lightly here, guarding the old tiki carved into the bar’s wooden heart — a spirit that only stirs after midnight. As the air cools and the jungle hushes, the music begins its slow drift: vibraphones echo like distant stars, slack‑key guitars glow like embers, and surf‑tiki rhythms ripple through the leaves. Travelers who find The Quiet Roost at this hour swear the place exists between worlds — part bar, part dream, part forgotten island temple. Some claim the tiki’s eyes glow when the perfect song plays. Others say the roosters crow without sound, calling memories instead of dawn. But everyone agrees on one thing: once you’ve spent a night inside The Quiet Roost, the music follows you long after you leave. This playlist is that echo — the soundtrack of a hidden bar where the night never ends, the drinks never empty, and the spirits (both bottled and ancient) keep watch until morning. https://open.spotify.com/playlist/4AfJaVfbAAMHQk0Ebr2oPI?si=cb70a92716e14a6f |
