I wanted to share some pictures of my home Tiki Bar in Pennsylvania. I am still new to Tiki but I have quickly fallen in love with it and the communities. Wow, 1moreRum. Spectacular. You've created an amazing space and amassed quite a collection for being "fairly new" to tiki. Cheers!

Well that's just STUNNING. Wowza!!!! Can you tell us a little about how long you worked on it, any adventures along the way?

Truly appreciate the "Thanks for not mentioning the outside world" sign. Pretty sure I need that on a t-shirt!!!

Aloha, Rupe

So a quick recap... In my younger years, I had a job that required extensive travel. I was fortunate enough to visit most of the larger islands in the Caribbean and fell completely in love with island life. I had collected pieces here and there, but I had no real plan for what to do with them. When we moved to Pennsylvania about 2 years ago and bought this house, I wanted my bar to feel like I was back in the islands. The beginning was mainly what you would call a tropical bar (palm trees and parrots). It wasn't until I started trying to expand my bartending skills beyond a Rum & Coke that I discovered Beachbum Berry's book, Potions of the Caribbean. That opened up so many possibilities and sent me down a YouTube rabbit hole. Since there is not much in the area to buy, we have made most of what is in the bar (except the actual Tikis! - that is my next challenge) The funny thing is how many times we have changed the bar's look over the past 2 years. My wife and I will be sitting and enjoying a drink and looking around. One of us will say, "You know what would look good over there?" LOL
