Tiki Lego from 1994

Pages: 1 3 replies

I understand that in 1994 Lego came out with an 'Islander' theme with set names such as King Kahuka, Crocodile Cage, Forbidden Cove, Enchanted Island, and King Kahuka's Throne.

A little bit of research and I came up with this photo:

I'm not really an expert on Tiki toys, but thought this might be of interest to those that know about such things.

Good shot of it, TR. There's been a thread with this toy and more already, though:

But now you're making me want one even more! (It also reminds me to go check at Target again and see if the Barbie Guava Gulch tiki bar set has gone on sale (nobady has bought even one of the 6 for sale, so I've been waiting patiently!)

Whoops! And I did a search on 'Lego' too....

This is an old thread, but...
I had some of this Islander Lego when I was a kid (I could never bring myself to get rid of my Lego!). I was bored the other day and I put this little bar together. I got the idea from a picture of someone else's Lego Tiki bar I saw online. It was pretty fun to do. Makes me wish I had more Lego to build a bigger bar, but there's only so much my wife can take...

Yes, those are supposed to be moai.

Small place but great floor show!
