Tonga Room Menus

I just noticed that this non-vintage menu from the Tonga Room just sold for 100 clams...

But this vintage one only went for 16!

Someone please explain! Or is it because the 2nd menu doesn't show drinks in mugs (that I can see)?

T

Oh,crap, maybe I shouldn't have posted that the day before the SF Tiki crawl. I can see it now - the Tonga Room menus all mysteriously dissapear!

Well, the $100 one is no longer in use, either. They have a new smaller one now.

WHICH YOU WOULD HAVE KNOWN IF YOU CAME TO THE CRAWL, DAMMIT!

still bitterly disappointed,

The mugs are the key-I've tried for a Kahiki drink menu and they always go for a whole lot of shekels.I've got a Kahiki dinner menu, but it's a later edition and laminated,so I think it wasn't that desirable. Some of those menus go for a lot more than mugs or lamps-pretty hot commodoties.

Blame Air Canada! They dont have good flight schedules!
