Is there a recipe out there somewhere? It's not really still a mystery is it? Is it somewhere in Jeff Berry's books and I just missed it? |

It is not out there for public display. It may not be a big mystery. The Mai Kai has shared recipes before. But a recipe for that large amount of drink is not useful to many. I'd like to know it, but then, I'd like to have them all! I do know it has 13 ounces of booze in it. |

I'd love to know what's in the Black Magic, it has a special place in my heart :) Tiki Cay & Ginger bought us drinks during the Hukilau before taking us home to their tiki bar to weather the storm. |

Try the Krakatoa in the Grog Log for a very similar drink to the Black Magic. |

Correction, the Mai-Kai Mystery Drink has 9 ounces of liquor in it. |

Just posted: A full review of the Mystery Drink that answers many questions: But for much more cool historical info, you'll need to attend Swanky's symposium at Hukilau 2012. He's updating another thread with details: http://www.tikicentral.com/viewtopic.php?topic=41783&forum=4 Among the questions he promises to answer: Who invented the Mystery Drink? What inspired it? Who created the first bowl design? Who were the first Mystery Girls? And who almost was? |

For some reason, I want to do both. Of course, The Mai-Kai is the Disney World of Tiki. |
