Name:Cobra Bar at The Tote Description: Open mainly Fridays & Saturdays, some Thursdays. At least 2 Tiki wall hangings near the bar (when at the bar, turn around and look up). A big Easter island image painted on the entrance wall (right side). Seemed to have some Tiki mugs in amongst all the grog at the bar. Lots of bamboo throughout and a thatch roof at entrance. Most interior walls painted to look like rock, as though walking into a cave. One room totally painted as though you're inside a volcano, like a "lava room". There's a skull pole behind the bar, not properly displayed. Specialises in cocktails, many types on the menu. http://www.thetotehotel.com |

The Tote Hotel closed in 2010 and all the Cobra's décor was either taken or sold-off by the owners. The Tote later reopened with new owners but the upstairs bar area is now just an unnamed bar. Many thanks to Richard at the Tote Hotel for this information. Give the Tote a visit if you're in the area. Collingwood is a suburb of Melbourne. [ Edited by: kenbo-jitsu 2016-10-31 10:39 ] |
