Turns out my parents were able to manage the safe without my help, so I didn't get to go. :)

My mom brought a Pikake lei in the original box from the 40's - and was also disappointed when shuffled into a group of appraisers who didn't really know anything about Hawaiiana...

They did have a great time at the show, and saw lots of great pieces.
