I wasn't sure if it was OK to put this in "Locating Tiki". I didn't have an address and I'm not 100% sure it ever opened (Skip may have torched the place before opening night!) but I bet it's defunct if his big plan was one day serve 3.2 beer... Pappy, another stellar find! I have never seen the term "A-frame architecture" mentioned together with "Tiki Lounge" in a mid-century article before. Theoretically, that architect could still be alive.... |

It's a strange thing that the newspaper gives his exact address but only hints at the address of the lounge. I guess we could go see if he still lives there. |

I see that the architect just died, on 4/27. His funeral was last Wednesday. His obit mentions that he was the owner of The Tiki Bar, but no further information on it. |
