S SilverLine Member Kansas City Joined: Mar 02, 2004 Posts: 637	S SilverLine Posted posted on Thu, Oct 30, 2008 2:36 PM We were "in the neighborhood" of the Chinese Chef House last week, so, "Tiki Road Trip" in hand we decided to see what there was to see in this little out of the way establishment. Turns out we were about 5 years too late, for a drink at least. An owner/manager told us that they'd quit serving drinks five years ago and had given away all their mugs and bowls, except the few they're currently using in a glass display case by the entryway. We stayed for lunch anyway and investigated further. The food was good, as was the service. The decor was sort of "in transition." The owner/manager we talked with said that he'd like to remodel the whole interior and get rid of the bamboo, grass and lamps, but it was too expensive to undertake at the moment. Aside from one really nice lamp and a half-dozen bowls, there's not a big TiPSY factor, but hey, it's mid-south Missouri!
