Is Lauhala matting waterproof?

Aloha friends!

Using Lauhala matting on the front of my daughter's playhouse, which will be exposed to the socal elements. I've seen it used lots of times on outdoor structures, but want to be sure that it'll hold up and not get all nasty looking.

Also - best way to adhere it to OSB?

NO it is not water proof or weather proof.

Brush on a spar varnish. It will still wear out in the long run but it should last MUCH longer.

OR... you could try CABOT'S AUSTRALIAN TIMBER OIL.
It penetrates and protects very well,my favorite.just a little pricey.
