Found this small mention in the July 8, 1966 Evening Independent: "A Syracuse, NY woman has a 1,720 pound Polynesian Tiki god thanks to the efforts of her nephew, Robert J. Flournoy of Tampa. Flournoy carved the statue in a bout 16 hours from a 200 year old cypress log and shipped it to his aunt in New York, who installed the object d'art in her petunia garden." |
