You all know how I feel about posting current auctions but these lamps are no hidden bargain. I love lamps but am saving up for a Keigs fountain and these are way above my budget. These seem to be new and was wondering if anyone knows if they are making repros? Where? How much? I didn't ask the seller and don't think he'll tell me his source. http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=2324384135&category=20509 http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=2324384789&category=20509 http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=20509&item=2324387086 |

Laney, The Huntington suppiler of palm/bamboo/nautical stuff has a few very similar to those. Hard to say given the small pics. I believe the dealer is mentioned in another topic, regarding palm trees. Their prices are a bit more reasonble. May just have to wait to pick up a lamp at the Taboo Cove going out of business sale. Thanks for posting the listings, even if they are too pricey. midnite |

Amendment to the earlier motion: I think it is the same lamp. The ebay seller is using this pic, me thinks. Benson Imports, HB. A bit cheaper, little bit. midnite |

They're all new lamps, way over priced. I picked up a lamp almost identical to the 12 sided one at Oceanic Arts, on sale, for $99.00! The original panels in my lamp was a butterfly pattern, so I replaced them with vintage tapa cloth. Same with the lamp behind it, another OA sale bargain! They both silently wait for their new home in The Spectacular East Indies Room! :tiki: :tiki: |

Hey Midnite, Thanks for the info on Benson Imports in HB! I didn't even know this place existed. Is it anywhere near your old neighborhood? |

Wow Midnite, that is the same picture. I knew someone who had a spot in an antique mall and noticed one of her items for sale on ebay. The picture was taken in her space. After some research and inquiries at the mall they found out that a guy would come in with his digital camera, take pictures of items, list them on ebay at a higher price and if they sold he would buy the item at the antique mall, if not, no loss, he just wouldn't buy the item. Interesting scam, no stock needed, could be the same thing happening here? They could even order the lamp and have it shipped directly to the buyer. Bad mojo. |

Uncle Arty, *Is it anywhere near your old neighborhood? We lived so many places, five or six?, in Huntington it seems like anyplace is near one of addresses. Parents first moved there in '62, but my Dad hung around a bit in '45 as he was stationed/procesed through El Toro Marine. Warner ws a dirt road, nothing but soybeans to the horizon.
