Verdan-Lolayne South Sea Sirens figurines

These are figurines from the Verdan-Lolayne “South Sea Sirens” chalkware series. Sold on Hollywood Boulevard in the early 1940's, these are apparently an extremely rare find (label on bottom indicates copyright 1941). Verdan-Lolayne also produced prints and figurine series under the “Nudist Nymphs” and “Nudist Scamps” titles, but those did not appear to have the same panache as the Sirens. These measure approx. 4 - 6" and are in pristine condition, apparently stored inside a glass case as there appears to be no fading either. [ Edited by: White Devil 2012-08-05 16:23 ] |
