I picked these up at an estate sale today. I'm only posting a picture of one because they are both identical. I've scoured the internet trying to identify the name of the tiki god, possible maker, and age. The electrical hardware is leviton and it appears to be old, see the photo with the turn key and plug. I've tried determining the date based on the hardware and all I can say for sure is post 1910. I'm thinking they are 1940's or 50's. Any help and info is greatly appreciated. Thanks, Joe One more question. Type of wood? The tiger stripe pattern is light indention. Nice cylindrical finial... [ Edited by: mr2real 2014-11-08 20:36 ] |

Well I've decide to post them side by side. I don't get a folk art vibe from these. Maybe there was a craftsman in Hawaii selling them in a shop, back in the day? Thanks, Joe |

I agree that they look Native American. I don't get tiki at all from them. |

Not Tiki, Hawaiian or Polynesian in any way. The electrical hardware is from the 1950s. [ Edited by: Atomic Tiki Punk 2014-11-10 18:43 ] |
