Witco swag lamp for sale

Pages: 1 3 replies

I am selling one of my swag lamps. At some point there was stained glass installed.
Can be easily changed out though.
It's not cheap, but I paid a lot and need to get my money back to let it go.

A price might help here.
Or heck even a photo?

I liked Tikidavid but he would say he wanted to sell an item and give no price, it seamed like he wanted you to offer like a thousand bucks for it.
Then if you did offer too little he would get pissed.

I Don't even ask at the Antique show if there is no price on an item, always get the feeling they are trying to size me up and see the most they can get.

Haha, tikiskip, asking for a pic and a price!? You’re so rude!!! :P

Har, I tried to be nice too.

In the south they call a sale like this "a pig in a poke"

Etymology
In the past, it was common for small farmers to put a pig in a cloth sack to bring it to market for sale. A poke is a sack or bag. It has a French origin as poque and, like several other French words, its diminutive is formed by adding -ette or -et — hence pocket began life with the meaning "small bag". Poke is still in use in several English-speaking places, including Scotland and some regions of the United States.

The full maxim is "don't buy a pig in a poke". This is addressed in the common law by guaranteeing a buyer the right to inspect goods before purchase,
