Incredibly rare Demerara Dry Float glass set. The ringed tumbler glass was used by Don the Beachcomber, the Mai-Kai, and Steve Crane's Kon-Tiki for the Demerara (Dry) Float cocktail and appears on the earliest menus of all three establishments. Footed sidecar shotglasses of this style appear on the Don the Beachcomber and Mai-Kai cocktail menus. This particular sidecar glass was acquired separately from the ringed tumbler but is a visual match for the glasses pictured in menus and looks fantastic displayed with the tumbler. Ringed tumbler is 4" tall, 3-1/8" diameter at opening, 2" diameter foot, 2-3/4" diameter at widest point of rings. Sidecar shot is 2-9/16" tall, 2" diameter at opening, 1-1/2" diameter foot. I suspect this particular tumbler was originally from the Chicago Don the Beachcomber location based on were it was acquired (Chicago suburb), but this is only my speculation. $425 shipped Mahalo!
