Aloooooha, here's the first of a planned series of comps. Maybe I'll do five volumes? (Ten?) Future albums will feature some low-key, tiki-bar exotica*, but this first volume is more of the wild, rockin' variety:

Sourced from a small sampling of my obscure vinyl archives. "The more you drink, the better we sound!" - Dean Martin

  • as well as surf, burlesque, private-press lounge, jazzy noir, early rock/r'n'b/rockabilly, who-knows-what.

My wife and I are trying to figure out how we're gonna pay for our daughter's private school. Long story, but she was getting lost in public school, and she's responding well to this school. So hopefully these albums will bring in a little something, even if it's just a few bucks. Every little bit helps, as they say.

I added a couple more albums, inc an all-exotica one. I'd be very surprised if any one you have more than a few of these rarities!

and now, the sequel: https://jungleroomrecords1.bandcamp.com/album/jumpin-at-the-jungle-room-tu

Some familiar songs are featured, like "Quiet Village," "Caravan," "Taboo," and "Harlem Nocturne," but you probably haven't heard them quite like this...

How fun! (and very reasonably priced). I don't do much dancing in my home Tiki bar but maybe I should!

Wowzer! What an amazing couple of albums! I added them to our bandcamp wishlist for Bandcamp Friday (tomorrow). Great stuff. I am following you now. Can't wait to put this on the speakers for our home cocktails, our patio tiki bar, our sunroom tiki bar, garden work, sitting by the fire pit, or working on the porch in our gulf coast heat and humidity under the fans. Music for the sultry soul. And I do enjoy dancing in the kitchen whilst I cook and the wiener dogs watch. Good luck with raising some moo-lah for your daughter's school tuition. Cheers!
