The event last night at Le Luz De Jesus was packed! It can be very difficult to anticipate the crowd for an event like this and to create a smooth flow. We went to their event to learn how to work our upcoming "It's All About the Tiki" show on Saturday. Since we had the advantage of learning from their show; hopefully, we can accommodate people in a fast and efficient way when the madness strikes. A few things to keep in mind about our event at M Modern Gallery: -There is going to be a lot of parking in the lot right before you hit the gallery. If you miss the parking lot simply round the block and try again. -If you are coming in from out of town from the west (LA, Riverside, etc.) take the Hwy. 111 exit off of Hwy. 10 and follow it to Downtown (Hwy. 111 becomes North Palm Canyon Drive) and we are located at 448 N. Palm Canyon Drive (beginning of the Downtown area). -Call the gallery if you need directions coming in from the East (ie. Arizona, NM, etc.) at 416-3611 prior to the night of the event as phones will be difficult to answer that evening. -PLEASE DRIVE SAFE! Wow, that's probably more than you wanted to read. Anyway, we hope to see all of you there! |

I just got word that Miss Cherry Capri will have 2 new paintings up at the original M Modern Gallery space during this same weekend. Apparently, several of the paintings from the sho have been picked up by the people who bought them, sooooo..... what a good excuse to paint 2 new TIKI works. One is from Aloha Jhoe's in Palm Springs, the other is entitled appropriately "It's All About The Tikis!" It's a piece based on the mythical theme park in Monterey Park. Don't miss your chance to see these 2 new pieces :) |

Happy Thanksgiving Everyone! Just arrived back from an excursion to the farm. (the Tiki farm not the Turkey farm). Before leaving today we received signed copies of "Tiki Road Trip". Thanks to James for signing these and to his agent Jeffrey for getting these to us prior to the upcoming event this Saturday. We were also fortunate enough to have Duke sign some copies of his book "TikiQuest" for our show too! Try to remeber these great signed books amongst all the cool TikiFarm Limited Edition wares. |

Hi Everyone, I guess we spoke to soon when we said that we would have all of our allocated "It's All About the Tiki" merchandise available for our show tonight. These are intricate pieces and, although Tikifarm has worked at a tiring pace, the Tiki and Manufacturing Gods haven't always been smiling on us this week. Here are some helpful tips to assist you in understanding how things will go at the gallery tomorrow evening (we promise only one line for everything): 35 of Shag's "Green Wahine" print available (this was a very generous allocation from Shagmart & Shag given this print is now Sold Out)! 10 of Shag's Charm Bracelets available tomorrow night (good luck!) and we have none on back order from Tikifarm - This was a limited run of only 100. 30 pieces of Shag Tiki Mug 3-Pack at the show - none on back order. 10 of the Shag Warrior Mugs available, however, we will take an additional 25 orders for these that will be shipped directly to the address of your chosing by TikiFarm. 35 of the "Martin" Tiki Mug by The Pizz avaiable that evening - none on back order with Tikifarm. 40 pieces of the "Lewis" Tiki Mug by the Pizz avaiable that evening - none on back order with Tikifarm. 35 of the 5-pc. Stacker Set by the Pizz available -none on back order with Tikifarm. 30 of the Hi-Ball set by the Pizz available -none on back order with Tikifarm. 12 of the Outrigger Sets by the Pizz available -none on back order with Tikifarm. 8 of the Cockeyed Tiki Mug by Von Franco available, however, we will take an additional 32 orders for these that will be shipped directly to the address of your chosing by TikiFarm. 30 of the Burnin Love Tiki Mug by Von Franco available, however, we will take an additional 10 orders for these that will be shipped directly to the address of your chosing by TikiFarm. 20 of the Triple Shot O' Love Shot Set by Von Franco-none on back order with Tikifarm. 12 of the Smokin Joe Barware Sets by Von Franco - none on back order with Tikifarm. 4 of the Artists Tiki Bowls by Von Franco, however, we will take an additional 31 orders for these that will be shipped directly to the address of your chosing by TikiFarm. 140 of the Frank en Tiki serigraph by Von Franco - a steel at only $ 75.00 each - exclusive to M Modern Gallery. 50 Pricilla Au Posters from The Pizz that he will happily sign and personalize for you that evening at only $ 30.00 each. 9 When the Weekend Comes We Rule as Gods Limited Edition Serigraph ON CANVAS by the Pizz. The one we have framed at the gallery looks AMAZING! Approximately 175 signed original drawings from The Pizz (The Wall of Pizz) priced at only $ 75.00 to $ 300.00. It is doubtful that you will ever get an opportunity to purchase an original piece of artwork from The Pizz for this low price ever again (we scooped these from Pizz's personal stash!). 20 signed copies of TikiQuest. 20 signed copies of Tiki Road Trip. 1 SHAG original painting entitled "The Zombie" as featured in his book "The Bottomless Cocktail" at $ 12,500.00 (this is a consignment piece and was not actually painted for this show, however, we felt it appropriate due to its Tiki content. There will be soft drinks and bottled waters for sale at $1.00 each and a special Pizz's Punch at $3.00 each. We decided that Wine and Beer really weren't the right beverages for a Tiki Bash. NOTE: we will provide an insert that can be given in an envelope for Holiday gifts! That way there is something to place under the tree just in case... Hope to see all of you there! Regards, M Modern Tiki |

I think the better part of TC was elsewhere that evening but I made it out. It was packed. They held it in a separate storefront near the gallery. I dashed straight from my car to the line with barely a second to look at all the items. Once inside, the line was long, polite people did get stuck at the end and waited a long time. Holden, Jay, et al were as nice as can be though. The Outrigger set is terrific, Shag's Night of the Tiki set is a must have but the surprise for me was the Hi Ball tumblers by the Pizz. Mucho gusto. Went to the Reef after but could only stay to try a Mai Tai. The bartender explained that he and the other bartender had been using different recipes but had to change it for the "Tiki people" and so now he squeezes fresh limes every day. Had to go just as those Tiki people started to show. Drove home attempting to sing over Whiskeytown CD. |

Hey Jax Tiki, Thanks for asking. What a chaotic night that was. Thank you to everyone that attended the show that evening. Your patience was greatly appreciated as we know we could have been better organized. Hopefully everyone a good time there though. We will continue to strive to streamline our systems and become more efficient getting people in and out of the gallery. We do have some items left over from the show. I'll list what we sold out of first and then what we still have. We suggest you move fast on these items as we sell some each day and will begin running out of more items shortly. SOLD OUT ITEMS: Shag Tiki Bracelet We have a few (due to us misplacing some) of the Shag 3-packs still at the gallery. Not quite sure how this happened and these will be gone as soon as we announce it on the web site (if they last that long). Right now there have been a few lucky people that have stumbled into the gallery and found these. Von Franco "Artist Series Bowl". This item is great and we were only able to get a few for our show due to some production difficulties at the farm. We are taking phone orders for these. If we don't answer you may email us at [email protected]. The rest of the show items are great too and should probably last until the end of next weekend. Please email with your wishlist and we will let you know what we still have available or call us at 760.416.3611 and leave a message. Regards, Jay |

Hey Jax Tiki, Almost forgot! The Zombie original is still available for $ 12,500.00 + CA sales tax and is a beautiful piece. People at the show may not have even had a chance to view it with the crowd in the gallery. This is a consignment piece for the gallery so please don't ask if we are accepting offers. We haven't even advertised that we have this piece to our gallery database yet as we were hoping to sell this piece locally. |

Rough typing day. The email address for us is [email protected] and our web site address is http://www.mmoderngallery.com . Sorry about the incorrect spelling of there (should have been their) in the second paragraph of the 2nd to last post. Also, it should have read "We hope everyone HAD a great time". I need to proof read these posts better prior to submitting. |
