With so many posts on ingredients I though I would start a general topic on drink ingredients. I too am trying to stock my home bar so I can make some "Grog Log" drinks. So far, I've made about 6 and each one has been a hit. Still looking for smaller bottles of more exotic stuff like Pernod. Can't see paying $25 and up for a full bottle just because 2 or 3 drinks need a tablespoon. [ Edited by: mriddle on 2003-11-13 13:59 ] |

Just a note for those of you looking for those exotic drink ingredient in the LA area (more specifically in the San Fernando Valley). I came across a place called "Wine & Liqour Depot" on Saticoy St. Let me tell you, they had everything and I mean EVERYTHING; Falernum, Pernod, Benedictine, Marichino Liqr, Trader Vics Passion Fruit syrup & Orgeat, tons of Rums and liqeurs like Creme de Cassis, Creme de Banana, you name it, both top shelf and budget ones. The one thing they didn't carry was airline-size boozes. Oh well, they are well worth the check out [ Edited by: mriddle on 2003-11-13 14:33 ] [ Edited by: mriddle on 2003-11-13 14:34 ] |
