It was in a small building that looked condemned, and the best part was they didn't have a sign, making it a definite word of mouth place. They served some of the best steaks i've ever tasted, and don't ask for steak sauce cause they didn't have it. Most of the change they gave you was 2 dollar bills and silver dollars. The owner Sid was on the lam and couldn't return to California without being prosecuted. What happened to this place??

I use to work at Zubies Chicken Coop down the street and we usually invaded Sids after our closing. Great place! Talk about a secret hideaway. Right, no sign, no lighting outside, just Giant Bird of Paradise and dark wood. NBPD use to stalk the joint....they'd wait in the dark until someone walked out with their drink to have a smoke and bam, another fine. Cheers to Sids! BTW, last I heard, Sid resides in Las Vegas and still cannot return to California. Rumors, I suppose. But makes for a great story and adds to the mystic' of Sid and Sid's Place.
