I just returned from 6 Flags New England and wanted to report a sighting. Im not sure as to how original these are due to the fact it was at 6 Flags, but it got me excited because in the Boston are we just dont see too much.

I have them mixed in my website but some quick links :

They look like they may be carvings by Wayne Coombs of Mai Tiki in Cocoa Beach but you never can tell. So many people copy his style.

I usally don't like painted tikis but these ones are pretty cool.

Sure look like Wayne's... same characteristics... and he always carves Mai Tiki or something else right below the face...

These can all be found at Six Flags over Mid-America in Eureka, Missouri (which is a suburb of St. Louis).
They are in the water park area. There were several others but I ran out of disc space and wanted to actually get in the water anyway.

Does this sorta remind you of Mr. Bali Hai?

And this last one is inside of a Scooby Doo ride. It looked cooler in person.

I once was lost............but now I'm found

I have to confess, I like the Wayne Coombs Florida-style of tiki. And to justify it all, I have two of them that are carved by none other than... Gecko!

While in between dodging hurricanes this year, I took the kids to a water park in Destin,FL full of tikis. I was too busy enjoying myself to take pictures but here's the web site.

Carved, painted and printed - there were tikis everywhere.

The top one looks like a Bula Bula Tiki........
