Okay, so I've been writing poetry for a couple of years now but I never got into that whole "Haiku" thing. Traditionally a Haiku poem is a short 17 syllable poem… too much format for me. Besides, half the sights I've looked at lately all say you can bend the rules. Anyway, I've written a couple of Tiki inspired Haiku-type poems just for fun. It's really easy. Read'em and give it a try, the possibilities are endless.

Sand on bare feet
washed away by the surf
round in my hand
a coconut cup

The winner bidder
eagerly awaits the mail
yet when the package arrives
a frown flods across the brow
A HAIRLINE CRACK!!!!!

(They can rhyme too)

Dark rum or
Light rum
A topic forever debated
Which is better
Does it really matter
They both get you intoxicated

Give it a try
post a reply....Sorry, that was total cheese.
