Many thanks Aaron. Now I know nothing about Palm, so how stains and waxes take to it you can only try.
I basically use anormal woodstain which I spray on and coloured Briwax.
Getting the different colours is still a bit hit and miss. I started just using different coloured waxes (ie dark and clear) and they do mix abit when you buff it up. I think next time I'll mask off the light areas before I spray the stain and then use just the clear wax on those areas . Good luck!
