It's not that folks didn't collect things in hopes that they would become valuable with time...baseball card collecting has been that way for a long, long time. It's not that folks didn't collect things in hopes that they would become valuable with time...baseball card collecting has been that way for a long, long time. It just seems that when it comes to tiki mugs, they moved from being souveniers, to being investments; and THAT is a recent developement.
