August 7, 1947 - The Kon-Tiki, Thor Heyerdahl's balsa wood raft, landed at Raroia in the Tuamotu Islands. And to make it an even greater day... August 7,1794 - Farmers in Pennsylvania rebeled against federal taxs on liquor, starting the Whiskey Rebellion. Better be sure to get your drink on tonight!
