Hi everyone,
First time poster so be gentle :)

I got this carved wooden canister set on Ebay a little while ago and after doing some research am unable to find out anything about it. It looks like they are each carved out of a solid piece of wood with a seperate top and can nest together. The carving is beautiful, very detailed and features pictures of huts, people, the sky, tree, fish, etc and has either flour, sugar, coffee, or tea carved into the wood as well.
I would guess they are hawaiian/polynesian but not sure. Does anyone else have any guesses or know anything about them? I'm putting one picture of the set on here and more detailed pictures can be seen at http://www.angelfire.com/linux/myshrall/canisters.html

Thanks in advance!
Kristen
